In order to better guide teachers and students to accumulate academic research experience, on November 26th, 2021, the school of management invited Chung Shi, who os the associate professor and doctoral supervisor of Lazaridis School of business, laurel University, Canada, to give an online lecture entitled partial centralization in a durable good supply chain through Tencent conference platform, The lecture was presided over by Yan Xiaoli, deputy director of the Department of management engineering of the school of management.
Dr. Chung Shi first briefly introduced the basic situation of Lazaridis Business School of laurel University in Canada. Then, focusing on the strategic choice between supply chain centralization and decentralization, the report introduces the centralized, decentralized and partially centralized supply chain, and puts forward the partially centralized supply chain strategy of durable commodity manufacturers. The report points out that the partially centralized supply chain strategy will become a balanced supply chain structure for higher durability products and longer range decisions.
In this online lecture, Dr. Chung Shi systematically introduced the paper on partial centralized supply chain strategy of durability products, and combed the important viewpoints and academic value in the paper. At the end of the lecture, the teachers and students had a full discussion and exchange with Associate Professor Shi on the partial centralization in a durable good supply chain. The participants agreed that the lecture provided a reference for academic research.
