On March 24th 2025, Professor Chris Schrage from the University of Northern Iowa visited our school. The International Office and the School of Management received the distinguished guest in Conference Room 812 of the Administration Building. Discussions were held regarding the 2+2 dual-degree program, short-term exchange programs, and the joint construction of industry-education cooperation bases between the two universities.
Ms. Wang Qin, head of the International Office, extended a warm welcome to Professor Chris Schrage. She stated that SUES and the University of Northern Iowa have a solid foundation of cooperation and a deep friendship, with close interactions between the faculties and students of both sides. She also expressed her hope that faculty and students from the University of Northern Iowa would have the opportunity to visit and study at our school.
Dean Qiu Menghua of the School of Management pointed out that the 2+2 dual-degree program between the two universities has been well-received and popular among students. She hopes that the current four cooperative majors can be expanded to seven in the future. She also emphasizesv the importance of actively promoting and implementing cooperation projects between the two universities and strengthening cooperation in teaching, research, and other fields.
Professor Chris Schrage expressed her sincere gratitude for the warm reception from our school. She provided a detailed introduction to the basic content of various long-term and short-term programs at the University of Northern Iowa, as well as its unique industry-education integration features. She also expressed her expectation for the implementation of more mutually beneficial cooperation projects in the field of joint student training between the two universities.
During her visit, Professor Chris Schrage delivered a presentation to the faculty and students of the School of Management about the University of Northern Iowa. She covered various aspects, including basic information about the university, its colleges and departments, summer programs, and the 2+2 dual-degree program. Her presentation was met with enthusiastic responses from the audience.
