School of Management Holds International Students Themed Education Activity and Inauguration Ceremony of the New International Students Association

On May 12, the School of Management hosted the International Students Themed Education Activity and the Inauguration Ceremony of the New International Students Association in the Lecture Hall of library. The ceremony invited Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Management Fan Junhui, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee Zhang Qiang, Yang Ying from the School of International Education; counselors in charge of international affairs, as well as international students from Changning Campus and student representatives from various programs. The ceremony was hosted by Vietnamese student Rili and Moroccan student Lin Xingming.

 

The ceremony opened with a prelude video titled My SUES Symphony, vividly showcasing the vibrant moments of international students' study and life on campus. Subsequently, Yana, President of the Association, delivered a speech, expressing her commitment to building a bridge for mutual support, growth, and cultural exchange among international students. The hosts introduced the organizational structure of the Association and its department heads, while also announcing the monthly activities planned by each department to enrich the daily lives of international students.  

 

Prof. Fan Junhui and Prof. Zhang Qiang presented appointment letters to the President and department heads respectively. In her address, Prof. Fan encouraged all international students to cherish the platform, pursue mutual growth, seek common ground while respecting differences, and live in harmony without uniformity. She called on them to tell both China's stories and their own national stories well, jointly building a warm and inclusive international family. Prof. Zhang Qiang emphasized in his speech that the establishment of the Association represents a significant measure in advancing the School's globalization efforts. He expressed hope that the Association would serve as a vital link, effectively fulfilling its role in international students' self-management, self-service, and mutual exchange, while enhancing the international cultural atmosphere of the School.

This inauguration ceremony marks a new milestone in the School of Management's work with international students. Moving forward, the International Students Association will uphold its mission of Five Continents Resonate in Harmony, Four Seas Share One Voice, supporting Chinese and international students to move forward hand in hand and grow together.
