School of Management invited Prof. Jungwon Yeo from University of Central Florida to give a lecture entitled“Global risk hotspots observation and American undergraduate education”

On September 13th 2023, Professor Jung Won Yeo from the University of Central Florida was invited to conduct a lecture on Global risk hotspot observation and American undergraduate education with our undergraduates and the first batch MPA graduate students. The lecture was hosted by Professor Shen Shiyong, director of the Department of Public Administration of the School of Management.

 

Professor Jung Won Yeo shared her views on the global risk issues such as conflict between Russia and Ukraine and Japanese nuclear wastewater discharge into the sea, and used her analytical framework of crisis management ethics and political leadership to give an in-depth interpretation of the ethics of political figures in the discharge of Japanese nuclear wastewater. She pointed out that moral neglect by political leaders may create a greater degree of confusion, conflict, argument, or problems that can shift to more vulnerable groups in society. In addition, She introduced the educational system and characteristics of American universities, and answered questions about the requirements for applying to American universities.    At the end of the lecture, Professor Jung Won Yeo had in-depth communication and t interaction with the participants.
