The School of Management offers education and conducts research on economics and business administration with a strong connection to engineering science and other social sciences. The school follows the guideline of “develop interdisciplinary education, focus on research, and cultivate academic culture”. Based on the guideline, the school has undergone a series of reforms and established various new departments and programs for undergraduate and graduate students in the last decade and has developed its own strength both in academic research and academic training.

Faculty

The School has 130 staff, of whom 103 are full-time teachers, 8 are professors, 40 are associate professors, the Dr. Rate was 63%, 50% of teachers have the senior technical titles .

Education

Undergraduate education is still the focus of the school, but graduate education has been developing rapidly in the recent years. Affiliated to the school there are four departments (Business Administration, Finance, International Trade and Information Management), 12 under-graduate programs, 1 graduate program (Social Security) and a computer lab. In its 35 years of history, the school has gradually built up its very strength in the subject of social security, and its focus on economics and business administration. The recent 10 years has seen the school getting better recognition from other universities and the public constantly. The school is proud at its training of a huge number of professional and managerial talents to meet the needs of employers not only in Shanghai but also all-round the China.
